Obsidian Flames is the brand new set to release in the Pokemon TCG! With many new cards, the competitive Pokemon TCG is expected to shake up quite a bit.
What’s up, everyone – SmartTCG here, and I am excited to be going into the best new deck in Obsidian Flames. I have been working heavily on new decks, and I have a really good idea on how lists should be built moving forward. For starters, with every new set to be released, there is typically a new top deck that appears. This means that there are lots of players trying to build that deck, which means a lot of unoptimized lists will be floating around, not maximizing the deck’s potential. Obsidian Flames, to be 100% honest with you, is a very mediocre set. However, it does have a couple gems that make it better than people think. Today, I am going to be diving into how to play the crown jewel of the brand new set: Charizard ex. Lets take a dive into everything you need to know about one of the new best decks!
After upgrading to Stage 2 you will see the rest of Gabriel Smart’s article and a PTCGL friendly deck export at the bottom of the article (an audio recording of this article by Andy Hyun will be added when he returns from his vacation):
