As promised, I’m back with my post-Pittsburgh article, bringing you along on my 12th place finish at the largest tournament to date. I say “to date” because I expect Peoria to quickly break this record, so my accomplishment won’t last for too long.
This tournament had its ups and downs, both before and also after. I want to start this article off by saying I didn’t even believe I was going to make it. Several flights were cancelled due to a short but impactful hail storm that basically made it impossible to get to Pittsburgh Friday. Then I was saved, by a longtime friend Frank Percic. Frank was driving from Cleveland to Pittsburgh for a One Piece tournament, so I was able to fly to Cleveland. I arrived to Pittsburgh at 5am on Saturday, got 1.5 hours of sleep, and decided to play a safe pick instead of my rogue Arceus Poppy Pidgeot list that I posted in my previous article. I decided to change three cards from my Yokohama World Championship list, which I will explain below.
