“T.I. In ATL”: Tera Information for Atlanta Regionals

What is poppin’, Cut or Tap Subs! I hope you all have enjoyed the format previously, as now it’s finally time to move on. We have had a wild ride since our last rotation, and I want to give out some awards for the decks and cards that impacted my seasons in these formats.

  • My “RIP to the GOAT” award goes to Radiant Greninja – this card was by far my favorite and I got to utilize it to the maximum.
  • The “You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone” award goes to Forest Seal Stone. This card allowed for so many decks to be functional without having to commit to a Vstar/Vmax-style deck.
  • Finally, the “See You Never” award goes to Snorlax. This card was only relevant thanks to decks not teching for it, and it promoted such a boring game plan that I could never bring myself to play the archetype a single time.

Now that we have said our goodbyes, let’s go over some new content. I’ve been testing this format for almost two months now; as usual, I’ve beaten my competition in the testing department. I was extremely sad to see Tord popularize the Tera Box deck, as this was what I was primarily working on in the beginning of my testing. Now that the cat is out of the bag, I can share all the ideas I have for dealing with certain situations.

Some general info about the format so far has been slightly clunky. I have been focusing mostly on consistency, and then certain combos that feel especially strong into the top 3-5 decks.

Before I go into detailing the new decks, I want to cover some cool cards and combos that seem inherently strong in this new format, as well as some of the best engine-support Pokemon we have access to.
